The home-grown restaurant chain for Japanese cuisine has take its cue from autumn and winter seasons of this end-of-year period. They rolled out a new promotional menu, The Perfect Interfusion that will runs for 10 weeks from November 2012 till 9 January 2013 at all 15 Sushit Tei outlets island-wide.

The promotional menu is centered around warm and hearty rustic fare with a contemporary twist.

- The Food
Here are some of the dishes we had tried out of the almost 30 dishes for the promotion.

Mentai Potato Salad @ $6.80

The ravishing good looking potato salad with cod roe is a perfect accompaniment to any meal. The cold mashed potato was fluffy and light while the cod roe add a nice flavor touch. A good mix of greens and starchy substance.

Spicy Ban Ban Ji Ramen @ $10.00

Cold poached chicken ramen with spicy sesame sauce, quintessential to Chinese noodle. Every mouthful of the ramen swimming in the slightly spicy sesame flavor soup makes you eager for the next. The rich, interesting, and additively spicy sesame compliment the overall flavor. Highly recommended!

Yakiniku Cheese Roll @ $12.00

Beef and cheese sushi roll with sweet sauce is a whimsical re-interpretation of the much-loved cheeseburger. Everything was flavored exquisitely, if only the cheese was torch to give it a melty melt cheese... It will be so Mmmm...

Tori Nanban @ $10.00

Delicious mouth watering juicy fried chicken, crispy crust on the outside and tender moist on the inside. The chicken was so good on its own that I actually forget to dip them with the homemade Taru Taru sauce!

Ikameshi @ $12.00

Surprisingly the rice had infuse more flavour than the squid itself.

Mango Mango Avocado Roll with Wafu Dressing @ $12.00

Mango avocado roll topped with Wafu dressing, fried tofu skin and salmon roe. The slightly oil odor from the fried tofu skin is quickly cover by the sweet and nice fragrant of mango. It will be really good if the fried tofu skin was chewy-crisp.

Ikasumi Pasta @ $13.00

The squid ink pasta did not brims with briny flavor as what I expected. The sauce is lighter in taste but the fried crispy garlic add a nice fragrant to the pasta.

Matsutake Sukiyaki @ $26.00 (Beef) or $22.00 (Chicken)

The broth (Sukiyaki soup) has a combination of shiratake glass noodles, tofu, leeks, carrots and enoki mushrooms. Add in the seasonal Matsutake mushroom to enhance the flavour, then toss the thinly sliced meats into the eggs and simmer a little. The earthy aroma of this deeply mushroom soup will be full of satisfaction for me if it is not too salty.

Nama Chocolate Ice Cream @ $4.80

The bite-size dark and rich cocoa ice cream may look boring, but I assure you it's good! Smooth, yummy and totally goodness! Forget about getting fat, give me another 10!

- My Opinion
Sashimi fans will no doubt be thrilled by the new selection of premium sashimi-based dons at irresistible prices.

I am deeply impress with the Mentai Potato Salad, Spicy Ban Ban Ji Ramen and Nama Chocolate Ice Cream. Tori Nanban might be quite common in western restaurant but not all can cook to the perfection like Sushi Tei.

Can't decide what to eat? What about having both authentic Japanese and Interfusion? You don't get this often, don't regret for not trying.
